What a fab day was had by all despite the freezing weather which eventually turned to rain!!
74 participants, 18 teams made up of Grans, Grandpas, Mums, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, brother and sisters and several dogs! It was a long and challenging course and only one team could claim the trophy. It was a very close call with two teams tying on points and the overall winner having a faster time by only 5 minutes!
The cleverly-named Scot Free team, comprised of a an English woman, Irish woman and Welsh woman ( and this is not the start of a joke!) managed to claim victory!
Bringing up the rear were Fran & Anna, worthy winner of the Terrible Treasure Trailers Wooden Spoon!!
Short-listed for the best team names were: Scot Free, Ayr on a G String, Sole Sistas and the Rocket Blasters with the winner being Ayr on a G String! Still waiting for exact amount collected to be announced but it is looking likely to be in the region of £400!
