It was a long and challenging course and only one team could claim the trophy.  It was a very close call with two teams tying on points and the overall winner having a faster time by only 5 minutes!   The cleverly-named Scot…

It was not ideal conditions, but they all combated the blustery, drizzly weather with wellies and waterproofs! “No such thing as bad weather – only bad clothes!”  is fast becoming our motto, here at TTotU  HQ! For those of you who are…

Finding your exercise in Disguise!

Finding your exercise in Disguise! We all want to feel great in body and in mind but what floats one person’s boat, can cause someone else to sink in despair!  So it’s really important to find a form of exercise or activity that brings you, at the very least, a small amount of pleasure or, preferably, a whackingingly large amount of joie-de-vivre! Some people like to run, pound the treadmill or do circuits of the gym and, if that ticks…

How to Stay Young.

I’m always pleased to find well-publicised scientific proof that dance is one (if not the best) form of all-round exercise and this short video does not disappoint! If you have been watching this year’s BBC series on How to Stay Young, you will know that it is not just about watching what you eat and staying slim, but more to do with the whole package (your body being the package!). Yes, of course, diet and weight management are important, but…

Can Dance Really Shake Up ALL Parts of the Body?

I have been a PE teacher for 21 years and a dance fitness instructor for  5 years so I know the answer to this question already!  And all the participants who come to my Zumba Gold Classes already know the answer too, but sooooooo many peeps don’t and THAT, to be hones, kind of freaks me out! So let me tell you why the answer to the title question is a resounding YES! We live in an ageing world.  Results…

It was a great day, I thoroughly enjoyed it, for more than the obvious reasons. ( the winner)  You are all a great bunch of people and ultimately the cause that money was being raised for is, most likely, dear to everyone’s hearts. Ultimately it is fundraising like this that helps push forward the treatments which in turn helps the people it will benefit the most.”    Collette Burns
