A Family Fun Fundraising Treasure Trail in aid of Ayr, Prestwick and Troon branch of Cancer Research UK.
Gather your team of friends and family and test out your sleuthing skills, observation skills and teamwork in this trail that will take you around all different parts of Alloway! Pit your collective wits against the dastardly clues , rise to the challenges and gather the most points and your team may be the lucky winner of the Trophy!
You will need: pen, pencil, camera and compass (minimal compass skills required – don’t panic!) in order to succeed!
Please note that the trail is probably not suitable for children under the age of 5 as it involves nearly 3 miles of walking. The majority of the trail is on tarmac or firm ground but there are parts where it could be muddy and uneven underfoot, depending on the weather! It is possible for a buggy to be carried up, down or over short stretches of muddy or stepped terrain but for those with heavier prams or wheelchairs, then alternative routes will be indicated so everyone can take part. Assistance dogs can access the whole route, but there are areas where dogs will not be allowed to enter and would have to be left outside for 10-20 minutes. Please note that the event will go ahead so COME PREPARED FOR WHATEVER THE WEATHER MAY BE!
The Important Details:
Sunday 4th March, starting in Alloway Public Hall, Alloway Village, Ayr.
Check in/ Start time is between 12-30 – 1.00 pm where you will be given your booklet of clues and challenges.
Return in a couple of hours for a simple Afternoon Tea of coffee/ tea / juice and scone / cake !
Prize Giving and Raffle roughly between 3.30 – 5.00 pm
