A few months back before the worst of the worst weather confined us to a mostly indoor existence, the whole of Fisherton Primary School took part in one of our Treasure Trails as part of their Health Week!
It was not ideal conditions, but they all combated the blustery, drizzly weather with wellies and waterproofs!
“No such thing as bad weather – only bad clothes!” is fast becoming our motto, here at TTotU HQ!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Fisherton Primary School, it is a very small school with a nursery and two composite classes. At that time there was a roll of 27 pupils, so with the help of parents and staff, they were divided up into about 6 teams of mixed ages of older and younger children!
It was my first attempt at a school based trail and I was anxious to see how it went so I tagged along with a group. I had ‘planted’ a few hidden clues and ‘props’ along the trail before the start and was keen to see how well it all worked! The kids were walking for about 2-3 hours over all sorts of terrain and I don’t believe that one single person complained about being tired! I could tell you how it all went, but instead, I’ll let the children’s feedback speak to you!
