Where’s the Casket of Conwy? – a Tintin Treasure Hunt!

Old Document found hidden in Castle Archives!

Can you help to unlock its secrets?

A researcher has discovered a coded letter hidden in between pages of ancient documents in the archives of Conwy Castle.  They are believed to reveal the existence of a treasure casket that was reportedly buried with Llewelyn ap Iorweth in 1240 in Aberconwy.  Edward 1st moved the abbey in 1283 so he could build the castle.  Was it during the removal of Lleweyln’s tomb that the casket went missing?  Unfortunately, the traitorous researcher sold the letter to a Russian agent for a vast sum of money, before handing it over to the local authorities.  Can you help British Secret Service Agent, Oliver Sutton, to unlock the contents of the letter and reveal the name, code-name and profession that the Russian agent is using?  The letter also reveals the address where the casket is hidden and a code to unlock it.  Will you accept the mission to find the casket first?

It was a great day, I thoroughly enjoyed it, for more than the obvious reasons. ( the winner)  You are all a great bunch of people and ultimately the cause that money was being raised for is, most likely, dear to everyone’s hearts. Ultimately it is fundraising like this that helps push forward the treatments which in turn helps the people it will benefit the most.”    Collette Burns
