An Outlandish Outing in Dunure – a Poirot Puzzle!

An Outlandish Outing in Dunure is a 1.5 mile adventure around the harbour, castle and shoreline of the historic village of Dunure that has been used on several occasions in the filming of the TV series, Outlander.  If you are arriving by car, then there is a paid car park in Kennedy Park where the treasure trail starts and finishes.  It is a Poirot Puzzle, therefore it is a sort of Who Dunnit trail to solve.  It is not suitable for prams and wheel chairs as it it involves uneven ground, narrow paths and steps which are unavoidable with no alternative routes available.  The trails takes you around the town centre and will lead you through  some well-camouflaged and hidden paths and will lead you to lots of interesting nooks and crannies that explore the history of this historic fishing village!

It was a great day, I thoroughly enjoyed it, for more than the obvious reasons. ( the winner)  You are all a great bunch of people and ultimately the cause that money was being raised for is, most likely, dear to everyone’s hearts. Ultimately it is fundraising like this that helps push forward the treatments which in turn helps the people it will benefit the most.”    Collette Burns
